SALTY TO SEXY FROM THE BACK OF YOUR CAR

Ok listen up, this one is for all our girls out there who have stayed out in the surf for a little too long and come in only to be racing against the clock to get changed for a function that you were meant to be at 20 minutes ago!

As girls we are expected to look on point when we are heading out but when the surf is pumping, it’s hard for us to leave our salty home.

So we have put together a little something on everything you need to go from salty to sexy in the beach parking lot.

We have all these goodies along with some other essentials (hair bands, scrunchies, clean undies, body cream and generally a cake of wax ) in a bag about the size of a pencil case that ‘always’ lives in the boot of our car.

First things first, you may already have one, but when it comes to getting changed, a hooded towel is a must. They are so much easier than trying to wrestle with a regular beach towel, making sure nothing slips out to say hello.

You just pop it over your head and it’s all round privacy from start to finish.

Our hot tip if jeans, pants or leggings are part of your outfit of choice, make the process quick and easy by putting your socks on first, your feet slide through like a dream and you avoid getting sand all through your pants.

We don’t know about you but we personally prefer to surf with our hair out, which means it can look a bit like a wad of seaweed when we emerge from the surf. Getting a brush through a hot mess like that can be challenging but nothing a good leave-in conditioner and detangler brush cant’ fix. Be kind to your hair and with a little patience it will be feeling silky smooth. If patience is not your thing then a lazy top knot with your fave scrunchie is all you need.

We wear tanned zinc on our face ‘everytime’ we surf, so when it comes to taking it off only makeup wipes will do to help you look and feel a lot less caked. 

We tend to keep our make-up pretty simple so a tinted moisturizer with at least SPF 15 followed with a little dust of your favourite bronzer or powder keeps things looking natural and protects your skin as well. Win/Win!

Add a little bit of water proof mascara just to give the eyes a pop and a dab of paw paw, balm or gloss on your lips.

Lastly, get yourself a cute little travel perfume and deodorant, quick spray and off you go.

Yes you’ll be late but you’ll also be walking in, owning your style and on a high from a fun surf. Walk tall and let your light shine from within.
