MURMUR MAGS UP-N-COMERS

by Tru Starling

Over the last few years, we have seen some incredible talent rise through in Australian female surfing. With young girls coming out of nowhere and showing some of the most experienced female competitors up, itโ€™s hard not to focus on the emerging pool of talent.

With the likes of Cedar Leigh-Jones (who took out the first stop of the Australian Open of Surf at Cronulla, beating experienced competitors Sarah Baum and Philipa Anderson), Nyxie Ryan, Molly Picklum and so many more.

But during the event at Cronulla, we had our eyes peeled on a few younger girls and there was a couple that really stood out. Grace Gosby being one of them. This 12 year old super grom is one to keep an eye on.

Part of Cronulla Sharks Boardriders this chick gave it everything at the event over the weekend progressing through a few rounds and had a big smile on her face while she was at it. Not only is she a little cutie, she absolutely RIPS! We are really looking forward to seeing more of Grace in the future events and we cannot wait to see her potential career unfold!

Another name that springs to mind is Charli Hurst. Charli has been around the competitive scene for a little while now but this smiling assassin is one for the books. Charli has won numerous events and the wins just keep on coming. This Billabong sponsored athlete has a bright future ahead of her and we are so excited to see whatโ€™s next for Charli.
