TYLER WRIGHT TURNS UP THE HEAT IN AUSTRALIA’S FIRST OF 3 CT EXHIBITION EVENTS

After a long hiatus professional surfing is back in Australia and beaming its way through tv’s and phones.

A couple of points we would love to make.

The Tweed Coast is beautiful! The sneak peak of the Aussie new guard was amazing (awesome surfing Zahli and Molly) and the board switch from Mayhem to Pyzel has given Tyler a lot of extra zing and wasn’t it noticeable.

Pretty much everytime Tyler got to her feet a big score followed.

For us though Steph still had the “I wish I surfed like her” moments. Her surfing should be studied and taught as an art. Beautiful lines, strong bottom turns and what seemed to be a new slide style carve in the bag of tricks.

Sally threw some serious innovation with an air reverse that will probably be in the highlight reel for the rest of year and then threatened the other competitors that she is bringing more airs for the next comps…

India Robinson absolutely smashed a few waves apart and her heat with Isabella was great to watch. Also, is it just us or does Isabella already look like she has been on tour for years? She was ripping!

We can’t wait to see how the next 3 events play out!

However, what we all didn’t anticipate was some pretty big news from the young Caity Simmers.
