MURMUR-MAG REVIEWS SURFING… THE MOVIE
5 best mates, some pumping waves and killer tunes. That’s all it takes to create one hell of a surf movie and SURFING is just that. Last night was the premier of the newest and grooviest female surf movie SURFING and may I just say WOW. Each and every person left with a smile on their face and something to talk about. As spectators, our experience consisted of two main things, one being the endless jamming out to the iconic soundtrack and the other was the feeling of your jaw stuck to the floor from the outstanding surfing that was being showcased. With countless “woahs” “oohs” and “ahhs” thrown out there and the occasional whistle this movie definitely impressed the jam packed park house arena on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
With the all star cast dressed in matching rainbow SURFING hoodies, Dimity Stoyle, Macy Jane Callaghan, Tyler Wright, Nikki Van Dijk and Steph Gilmore created a movie that was destined to be adored.
With an eager crowd flocking to the parkouse, the night was only filled with love, laughter and good surfing. From young to old this movie left an imprint on everyone. SURFING (the movie) reminds us to have fun and just to enjoy surfing with our friends.
Congratulations to all the girls and guys who were involved in making the movie as well as producing an awesome premier night. Also a massive shout out to Dan Scott and Ava Wardbrick who produced a phenomenal film. Was an epic night and we look forward to seeing many more surf movies to come in the future. This is just the start, grab your girlfriends, choose a song and get surfing, let’s see a SURFING volume 2.
